My wife and I have gone through a lot together the past couple of months, some of it good and some of it bad, but through it all we have come out stronger and closer, not only together, but closer to God as well. At the end of this physical and very spiritual battle, we had fought many wars and won many victories but what now? What do we do with the victories won?
In war you have two sides, the “good” side and the “bad” side. When the enemy attacks you fight and hopefully win the battle. But now what? Well, you can choose to stand there and wait to fight another battle and hopefully have another victory… Or, you could pick your battle warn body up and press forward!
Romans 8:37 calls us to be more than conquerors.
Conqueror: a person who conquers a place or people.
You see, in life the devil will try everything he can to take from you and to steal from you. Now, you can sit there and take it. Sure, you can have victory over him while you sit there. Or… you can fight back, be more than a conqueror, take back what the devil has stolen, without ceasing, be relentless! Take back what is rightfully yours and once you have taken EVERYTHING back that the devil has taken from you, then take some more, keep conquering!!! Nothing belongs to the devil, everything is a gift from God and the devil has no rights to it. Take back what the devil has stolen from your neighbors, your friends, your family, your coworkers and once you have taken that, take what the devil thinks he owns. FYI, the devil owns nothing, so take it all!
My wife and I use to pray that we would have victories in our lives, but now we pray with more authority. We pray that we would conquer the enemy and win battles along the way, on our terms, not the devils. So I want to encourage you, don’t wait for the enemy to bring that battle to your door step, take the fight right into the devils face! God has given us the tools and the power, we just need to use them.
Ephesians 6:12 “…Put on the full armor of God…”
“Lord, thank You for the blessings You have given us. You continue to give us things and blessing we do not deserve, but You love us so much that You see right through our failures and mistakes and look straight at the forgiven heart. God, teach us to not just live in victories but to walk as conquerors! Help us to take back the things that the devil has taken from us. We will no longer just sit around, letting the devil have free reign in our lives and our friends and families lives. We will put a stop to it, right now, with Your power. Like Gideon, we take the battle to the enemy and we demand and fight to take back what is ours! The devil has no power here. I will be more than a conqueror. In Your righteous and powerful name,
~ Amen.”
I hope this word from the Lord is an encouragement and strengthens you this week. Put on the armor and keep taking from the devil and remember while you’re fighting to keep worshiping.
