Hey worshipers!!! I know, I know… It’s been a while. I hope everyone out there in cyberland are doing ok. Man, can I tell you some stories, but I won’t bore you with my problems. Haha! In the words of Captain Li Shang, “Let’s get down to business!”

RecentlyI realized that I had not been reading the Bible like I should have been and I struggled to come up with a good enough strategy to get back into it. So, I did what any self-respecting man would do, I just started over, started at the beginning. Not only was I going to start reading the Bible again, but this time it was going to be different. I was going to S.O.A.P. it.

For those of you out there that don’t know what “soaping” the Bible is, let me explain:
S = Scripture, O = Observation, A = Application, P = Prayer
So, you read a chapter or three, you find a scripture that stands out to you, you make an observation of that scripture, you then think, “How can this scripture apply to me?”, and then you pray about it. 

Now, at first, I thought to myself, “There is no way I’m gonna get anything out of Genesis.” [For all of you Old Testament “Bible thumpers” out there (dad) I now see the error of my ways.] I was so wrong! Genesis has some amazing stuff in there. Stuff to strengthen your marriage, to warn us against the attacks of the enemy, to teach us how to trust in God, even though EVERYTHING is stacked against us. It’s absolutely amazing what God can show you, if you’re just willing to listen.

Well, it’s good to be back. I can’t wait to share what I’ve read in Genesis and to continue to help build strong worshipers out there. OH!!! FYI. God has built up a passion in my wife to share the love of God to people. So, I encouraged her to start a blog, but that was a little too much for her right now. So, I invited her to share on my blog from time-to-time. Man, the things God has been speaking to her, whew!!! Gives me the chills. Looking forward to running the race with you all again and as always, I hope you all kept worshipping!!!
