So this morning I went out for my morning jog (which was roughly about 2.53 miles, give or take). I have been trying to jog the entire thing without stopping, at no avail. And usually when I go out for my morning jogs I spend a lot of that time in prayer. My prayers usually revolve around praying for my pastor, the leaders in my church and the worship team. But this morning amongst praying for those things, I also prayed this, “Lord when I am weak, give me strength. When I doubt, give me faith.”

Then this question popped into my head. It takes faith to trust in Gods faithfulness. It takes strength to stand firm on Gods strength. So, I had to ask God the question, “When I am weak, how do I muster the strength to rely on Your strength? When I doubt, how do acquire the faith to fully trust in Your faithfulness?” Now this is where Gods super awesome AWESOMENESS comes into play. As I was about to struggle with this question, God in His speed and ease simply said. You can’t… WHAT??? I can’t!!! I said. After a few seconds God comforted me with this.

When we focus on our weakness we are definitely not focusing on God. Now on that same token, when we focus on God giving us strength that tends to be are focus, so we’re still not focused on God. You see, instead of focusing on are weakness or focusing on God giving us strength, we need to focus on the task at hand. If God has called you to something, you need to do it! And not just do it, but do it to the best of your ability, whether you are weak or strong, doubtful or full of faith.

So I’ll end with this. It’s like jogging, if your focused on the pain you feel you’ll give up before you should. And if you’re looking to far ahead you’ll stress yourself out because of the distance still needed to travel. But if you just focus on the fact that your jogging, than guess what will happen?… You’ll jog.

FYI: While God was blowing my mind with this concept I finally finished the entire jog without stopping.
