A Quick Talk About Fear.

Fear is a rock we can hide under. No matter how cold, lonely, and treacherous it feels, those that default to fear are at home in it. Jehoram hid under the rock of fear instead of running to The Rock of Salvation.”(Wounded Warrior: Naaman devotional)

This has to be the best example and description of fear I have ever read. It is so true, that we use fear as not only a crutch but as a home to dwell in. We make rash decisions based off of fear, we don’t do what we are called to do based off of our fear, and we don’t love or reach out to those in need based off of our fear.

Isaiah 43:1 “Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.”

Did you know that the phrase “fear not” is in the bible at least, 80 times? Because God knows that the devil will use fear to keep us from every victory God has set before us.

The devil uses fear as a tool to keep Gods children (which should be everyone) from doing what God has called them to do. It’s time to step out of fear and into truth, leave worry and step into light, deny doubt and fully immerse yourself in His courage.

2 Timothy 1:7 ” For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power and love and a clear mind.”

Do not let fear control you! Take it from a wise Jedi master, who once said, “Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.” Punch the devil square in the face and take control away from him and the fear he pushes down your throat and give control back to God. Then, you will experience true freedom and joy through the life-giving power that only Christ can bring. In that freedom, you will experience a new level of life. As you work through this process, remember to keep worshipping.
