There is a common misconception out there that many, many people are falling prey too. There is a lie that says that, “you have to dress and act a curtain way when you worship God”. But I believe that this is just not true. In John 4:23 it is written, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers that the Father seeks.”.

In 2 Samuel 6:14, David danced naked in the streets. Well, he wasn’t completely naked. He was covered by a linen ephod, roughly translated to “diaper”. =] When the King of Jerusalem danced in the streets, it was more then just a physical proclamation. It was a depiction of the content of Davids heart. David came to the Lord transparent and real. Just the way God likes it.

Yes, be modest and don’t be distracting to anyone. But let’s be real with God and come to Him the way He wants us to. Transparent & Truthful.
